It’s About Time
Equality is a core value at SpinSys
As an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer, SpinSys is committed to equal employment opportunities in recruitment, hiring, promotion, training, compensation and disciplinary action in employment. We stand with and support our colleagues regardless of ethnicity, ability, military status, gender or sexual orientation. We are committed to action in the following areas and have set representation goals to construct a workplace that reflects our world.
Culture
SpinSys continues to foster a company culture rooted in acceptance and belonging. We are committed to requiring annual diversity training, championing our Employee Resource Groups (Women and Veterans at SpinSys), and training our hiring panel to use standard behavioral interviewing techniques to reduce bias in interviewing.
Career:
SpinSys is dedicated to equality in hiring, development and career advancement for our diverse employees. We’ve established partnerships with universities like George Mason University, which has an above-average gender diversity score compared to the national average. SpinSys is also leaning into our Historically Black Colleges and Universities partnerships with Florida A&M University, Hampton University, North Carolina A&T and Norfolk University to source recent graduates and experienced alumni candidates. We’re also working with five Veteran non-profit partners Operation Code, Microsoft Software and Systems Academy, Hire Heroes, Wounded Warrior Project- Warriors to Work and Virginia Values Veterans. Lastly, we ensure accessibility of job openings by posting our opportunities on Virginia and South Carolina state job boards, where most of our work population is located.
Community:
Finally, our colleagues are diligent in identifying ways to support all parts of our local community. We continue to identify and share volunteer opportunities through our Employee Resource Groups and support independent initiatives and employee-led efforts with local organizations that are important to them. Colleagues are encouraged to use their paid holidays, like Martin Luther King Day of Service or one of their unlimited vacation days, to follow their passion for supporting their local community.
